Twisha had complained to her family about suffering from significant emotional and psychological distress since she had been married. Ms. Sharma discussed with her family how she felt trapped in her husband’s home and wanted to go back home to Noida.
Twisha Singh’s family has accused her in-laws of Harassment in the form of Mental Harassment, monetary and social pressure for dowry, economic coercion through creating joint bank accounts, offers, ownership interests on assets, emotional abuse and ongoing emotional abuse.
Twisha Sharma, a 31 year old model and actress was found dead in her new home. The incident occurred on 12th of may, 2026. His husband, Samarth Singh is a lawyer and had been in a married relationship with Twisha for the past 5 months. Although police is still investigating on the case, it is believed that her death was due to acts of violence. Her family reported about acts of violence and dowry harassment. She is also said to experience mental trauma in the past few months.

After Twisha Singh passed away, the legal system placed Samarth Sangh as an accused for his involvement related to the charges of dowry harassment and suicide incitement. However due to his absence from the authorities, a lookout was established for Samarth and a cash reward was offered for anyone with information regarding his whereabouts.
Surveillance cameras documented the moments of Twisha’s actions prior to her demise, thereby providing critical evidence to law enforcement officials during their respective investigations. A special investigators scouring this case has been formed to evaluate the many digital recordings/meta data/documents and compare the families’ testimonies between one another.

In contrast, friends and family members have publicly refuted these claims and characterized them as insensitive and an attempt to shift the blame on to Twisha’s character and actions. Friends have stated that Twisha was a determined, independent young woman who was struggling to cope with her discontent after getting married.
