By opening India’s first LPG ATM in Gurugram, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited has made a big change to the country’s fuel system.
The goal of this new method is to make it easy to get cooking gas without having to wait a long time. The project comes at a time when LPG transport is being held up or is not available in many places.
The LPG ATM, which was put in Sector 33, Sohna, is part of a test project that aims to make things easier and more accessible for customers. It changes how people usually count on home delivery services because users can get a gas tank in minutes.
How the LPG ATM Works
When you use the LPG ATM, you don’t have to touch anything to make it work. The whole process is done online, which makes it simple and quick for users.
Customers must first enter their registered cell phone number in order to use the machine. Then, an OTP is used to make sure it’s real. After that, they read the barcode or QR code on their empty cylinder.
When a digital way of payment like UPI or a debit card is used, the machine lets out a full cylinder. At the same time, it takes the empty one and saves it inside.
In the old way of planning and waiting for delivery, the whole process took about two to three minutes. This is much faster.
It’s easier with light cylinders
New polymer tanks are one of the best things about this LPG ATM. These are not the same as the metal barrels that most people use in their homes.
When they are full, regular cylinders weigh about 31 kg, which makes them heavy and hard to move. The new polymer tanks, on the other hand, only weigh about 15 kg and can hold the same amount of gas.
They are also made to be cleaner, safer, and easier to carry. Their clear bodies make it easy to see how much gas is inside, which is an added bonus.
The switch to lighter tanks should make using LPG easier and more enjoyable, especially for older people and families.

Smart system with a steady supply
The LPG ATM is quick and smart. It has a system built in that keeps track of how many cylinders are in the machine.
It can hold about 10 cylinders at once. A message is sent to the closest gas station when there is not enough gas in the tank. This makes sure the machine stays working and is refilled on time.
This feature keeps the machine working all the time so that customers don’t have to worry about sudden shortages.
The machine is open 24 hours a day, so people can fill up at any time and not have to wait for delivery times.
Why is this new idea important
LPG is one of the most common ways to cook in India, and a lot of homes count on it every day. Any delay in availability can have a direct effect on daily life.
This LPG ATM is a step toward fixing that issue as it gives you quick access. It makes people less reliant on delivery services and gets rid of the need to wait for hours or even days.
The start is also part of a bigger push to use technology to move fuel around. The process will be faster and more efficient, which will improve service for customers as a whole.
If this plan works, it could be used in more places, making it easy for people all over the country to get LPG.
A Step Toward Smarter Moving of Fuel
When the LPG ATM came out, it changed the way cooking gas is gotten in cities in a big way. It has speed, technology, and ease of use all in one system.
It means that customers will have more power and wait less. It shows the business world how digital solutions can make old services better.
As more people learn about this method and start to use it, it may become popular in towns. This new idea could change how LPG is distributed in India in the future and make life easier for millions of people.
