Witnesses told ThaiRath that he continued swimming until he appeared exhausted before disappearing beneath the water, which was estimated to be more than 10 metres deep. Rescue teams searched the lake for around 30 minutes before divers recovered his body.

Authorities sent the body to Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. As of now, officials have not publicly released the final autopsy findings.
