Television actor Dipika Kakar has undergone another IV infusion session as part of her ongoing Stage 2 liver cancer treatment. In a recent YouTube vlog, her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, shared updates on her health, explained the treatment process, and spoke about how their son, Ruhaan, has been affected by the family’s frequent hospital visits.
Dipika Kakar Undergoes Another Infusion Session
In his latest YouTube video, Shoaib Ibrahim shared footage of Dipika Kakar receiving infusion therapy at a hospital. The actor appeared tired while resting on a hospital bed during the procedure.
Providing an update on her condition, Shoaib explained that doctors also administered iron through an IV because her iron levels had dropped.
He said:
“A couple of things came up. Her iron levels were a little low the last time, so they’re giving her iron through an IV as well. After that, I think we’ll head home in another one-and-a-half to two hours.”

Dipika Says She Is Feeling Fine Despite Dizziness
During the vlog, Dipika reassured her fans that she was doing well overall.
She explained that the dizziness she experienced was caused by medication given before the infusion.
She said:
“Everything’s good. I just feel a little dizzy because they gave me a medicine beforehand as pre-medication, which causes drowsiness. That’s all. Otherwise, everything is absolutely fine.”

Treatment Has Become a Routine Every 20–21 Days
Shoaib also revealed that the latest hospital visit was completed as a day-care procedure, unlike the previous session, which required an overnight stay.
He said:
“Last time, we had to get admitted for an entire night. But this time, we’ve managed to get it done as a day-care procedure so that we can reach home to Ruhaan tonight. This has now become a routine every 20-21 days.”
The couple continues to document Dipika’s treatment journey while keeping their followers informed about her recovery.

Shoaib Opens Up About Son Ruhaan’s Growing Attachment
Apart from discussing Dipika’s health, Shoaib shared how their son, Ruhaan, has been emotionally affected by the family’s repeated hospital visits.
According to him, Ruhaan has become increasingly attached to his mother over the past month.
Shoaib said:
“He’s been getting a little cranky lately. As he’s growing up, he’s becoming more attached to Dipika, especially over the past month because I wasn’t home, Papa wasn’t home, and Dev bhaiya wasn’t there either. It’s just Dipika, Dipika, Dipika.”
Dipika’s Liver Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Journey
Dipika Kakar publicly revealed in May 2025 that she had been diagnosed with Stage 2 liver cancer.
Earlier in June, she and Shoaib Ibrahim informed fans that she had begun immunotherapy after doctors detected two new cysts in her liver.
Following the diagnosis, Dipika underwent a 14-hour robotic surgery to remove a tumour reportedly the size of a tennis ball.
The operation also involved removing 22% of her liver along with her gallbladder.
Shoaib Says Dipika Is Cancer-Free but Treatment Continues
After the surgery, Shoaib shared a positive update on her recovery.
He said:
“She recovered with remarkable resilience. Today, I can confidently say she is free of cancer, though some treatments are still underway. I feel immense pride in her perseverance throughout this struggle.”
Although she has recovered from the surgery, her treatment plan remains ongoing.
Small Liver Procedure Performed in February 2026
In February 2026, Dipika underwent another medical procedure to remove a 13mm liver cyst.
According to the couple, her current treatment includes regular immunotherapy sessions, and doctors have not advised any major surgeries at this stage.
Her recovery continues under close medical supervision.
Dipika Previously Spoke About Immunotherapy Side Effect
In an earlier video, Dipika shared her experience with immunotherapy and explained that she had not experienced any major side effects.
She said:
“As such mujhe iska koi side-effect ‘side-effect’ nahin feel hua. Of course, jab apki body me jab itna heavy drug jaata hai to thoda bahaut apko kuch to mehsoos hota he hota hai [I did not have any side effects. However, when a heavy drug is administered in the body, a person feels something].”
She further described some temporary symptoms she experienced during treatment.
“Kabhi 1-2 din ke liye aap lethargic feel karte ho. Kabhi thoda temperature aa jata hai. Kabhi kuch hota hai. Main back pain bahut zada experience kiya. Ho sakta hai mujhe thoda sa viral infection pakad lia ho, kyunki mujhe mild sa fever aya tha – bahaut mild, ek hee baar aya, uske baad nahin aaya [Sometimes you feel lethargic for 1-2 days, the other times, temperature rises. I felt severe back pain, but it could also be because I might have caught a mild viral infection, which is also why I had a mild fever that subsided in a way].”

Dipika continues to undergo frequent medical scans and routine blood tests as part of her ongoing treatment plan.
The couple has shared that these regular evaluations help doctors monitor her recovery and make informed decisions regarding her overall health and future treatment.
