Mumbai was the place where legends are created and fairytales usually belong, and it is here that a celebration was as much a reunion of cricketing royalty as it is a marriage between two souls. On 5 March, 2026, Arjun Tendulkar, the 26-year-old all-rounder and son of Sachin Tendulkar, also known as the Master Blaster, married his long time girlfriend and businesswoman Saaniya Chandhok.
The event, which was hosted in a grand hotel, the St. Regis hotel located at South Mumbai, was an understated but elegant masterpiece of a ceremony. Contrary to the loud celebrity weddings, SaaJ, as the marriage between the couple was lovingly called, was concerned with the fusion of family traditions and authenticity.
The 270-Degree Mandap
The main attraction of the wedding was the ethically breathtaking, tailor-built 270-degree center mandap. The stage was circular and covered with tidy white baby breath flowers with subtle hues of gold to enable the 132 or more notable guests to view the traditional rituals perfectly.
There was magic in the entrance of the couple. As Saaniya proceeded to the mandap, the melodious voice of Harshdeep Kaur replicated in the hall and sang a customized bridal entry song. In the Maharashtrian rituals, the Mythical Shankar Mahadevan was singing the Mangalashtak, invoking a divine calmness upon the afternoon of South Mumbai.

The Groom in Maroon, the Bride in Crimson
By the time the couple actually made an appearance to meet the media, it was a prince and princess of the contemporary Maximum City.
Saaniya Chandhok: Saaniya has shunned the new trend of pastel lehengas by wearing a classic red Tarun Tahiliani saree. The saree was in a classic seedha pallu design with elaborate silver thread work and zardosi. She wore a heavy Polki choker together with a bright red bindi and her appearance was finished with the radiant and classic Indian grace.
Arjun Tendulkar: Arjun was as deep maroon-oxblood sherwani by Manish Malhotra as any groom could have been. There were heavy silver floral embroideries that were made on the knee length jacket, and the trousers were ivory slim fit. Well cut back hair and clean shaven appearance brought out a coolness that reflected the calmness of his father on the field.

A Guest List to the Ages: Cricket Meets Cinema
The wedding was also a once-in-a- lifetime opportunity to see generations of Indian cricket on the same side. The room was a Hall of Fame that moved the legends of the 1983 world cup to the stars of the modern T20 period.
The Cricketing Royalty
MS Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni were among the most expected callings and the flash of cameras was en route. Others who were joined by them included Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh, and Zaheer Khan. Interestingly, the head coach of India Gautam Gambhir took a few seconds to bless the couple and move on to prepare India in a crucial T20 world cup semi-final with England later in the day.
Bollywood and Business
The Star-Studded was not an exaggeration. The family of the Ambani who had attended a pre-wedding puja of the couple earlier at Jamnagar came to bless the couple earlier. The film industry provided Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, who were known to be sharing light moments with Sachin Tendulkar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Asha Bhosle who also offered a touch of eternal glamour to the night.
