In the sprawling, chaotic seas of Blox Fruits, few abilities carry the prestige and sheer visual flair of the Control-Control Fruit (Ope Ope no Mi). Modeled after the legendary powers of Trafalgar Law from One Piece, Control has long been a favorite for players who value tactical dominance and “big brain” plays. However, with the 2025 updates, the meta has shifted, and “Awakening” your fruits has become the definitive line between a casual sailor and a Sea Emperor.

If you want to move from simply throwing buildings to literally rewriting the laws of physics, you need to awaken your Control fruit. Here is the step-by-step roadmap to achieving the Control Awakening.
Phase 1: The Prerequisites
Before you can even think about the Awakening trials, you must ensure your character is prepared for the grind. Awakening isn’t just a button press; it is a rite of passage.
- Level and Mastery: You should ideally be at least Level 1500+ to survive the raids required. More importantly, your Control Fruit Mastery needs to be high (aim for 350-400) to ensure you have the stamina and damage output to clear the challenges.
- Fragment Hoarding: Awakening isn’t free. Each move you upgrade will cost Fragments. To fully awaken the Control set, you should have at least 14,500 to 18,500 Fragments tucked away. You can earn these through Sea Beasts, Ship Raids, or standard Fruit Raids.
Phase 2: Locating the Specialist
Unlike basic fruits that have dedicated raid rooms, the “advanced” fruits often require a specific questline. To begin the Control Awakening, you must travel to the Third Sea.
Seek out the Mysterious Scientist hidden within the secret laboratory corridors of the Castle on the Sea. If you have the Control fruit equipped, he will offer you a unique dialogue path. He won’t just let you in, though—you’ll need to provide a Physical Fruit (worth over 1,000,000 Beli) or a Microchip to start the specialized Control Raid.
Phase 3: The Control Raid Strategy
The Control Raid is notorious for its difficulty. The NPCs inside use high-level “Room” abilities that can displace you and deal massive AoE damage.
- The Room is King: In the raid, the enemies will try to keep you out of your own zone. Use your Levitate ability to keep large objects between you and the enemy mob.
- Team Composition: Do not go alone. Bring a Buddha user for tanking and a Dough or Blizzard user for crowd control. Your job as the Control player is to use Gamma Knife on the boss to shred their health percentually.
- The Final Boss: The boss of the Control Raid is a high-level Law NPC. Stay mobile. If you stand still, he will use Shambles to swap your position into a lethal trap.
Phase 4: The Ascension
Once the raid is cleared, you will be transported to a glowing ethereal plane where you meet the Awakening NPC. Here, you can spend your Fragments to upgrade your moves in order:
- Tact (Awakened): Now allows for multi-object throws with homing properties.
- Control Area (Awakened): The “Room” size is doubled, and the duration is significantly increased.
- Gamma Blast: A massive upgrade to Gamma Knife that creates a lingering radiation zone.
- Teleport (Awakened): Allows for instantaneous travel to any point within the Room without a cooldown, provided you have energy.

Why Awaken Control?
An Awakened Control user is the ultimate nightmare in PvP. By expanding your “Room,” you dictate where the fight happens. With the new 2025 buffs, the Koko Sword now has a 1.5x damage multiplier when used inside an Awakened Control Room, making it a lethal combo for any bounty hunter.
