Millions of documents regarding the activities of Jeffrey Epstein that are related to his wrongdoing have caused controversy worldwide and created new investigations into possible abuses in the world of finance. The documents, often referred to as “Epstein files,” include emails, flight logs, testimony, and financial records demonstrating Epstein had many friends in high places as well as people he was close to, including members of the business community, politicians, and celebrities. In January 2026, an exhaustive collection of documents, including over three million pages, was released by law enforcement, further sharpening the focus of the scrutiny of many influential figures with whom Epstein is thought to have had contact.
It should be noted that simply being mentioned in the documents does not mean that the individuals identified in the documents are guilty of any wrongdoing. Most of the individuals named in these documents are just individuals who had social, professional, or financial connections to Mr. Epstein. 1. Prince Andrew
Perhaps the most publicly known individual in relation to the Epstein files that has been the subject of controversy and a significant amount of public attention is Prince Andrew, Duchess of York, and a member of the British Royal Family. Prince Andrew’s relationship with Epstein has received scrutiny by the public for many years and now, following the most recent release of documents associated with Epstein, there have been even greater allegations made against him publicly and the public attention toward him will likely continue to grow.
According to court documents from several lawsuits, Prince Andrew continued to maintain contact with Jeffrey Epstein after Epstein was found guilty of committing sexual crimes against minor children in 2008. Reports of him inviting Epstein to Buckingham Palace have been made and consequently raised further concerns about his judgement and the nature of his relationship with Epstein.
Furthermore, he has also faced scrutiny regarding the nature of his relationship to Virginia Giuffre and Ghislaine Maxwell. An image of Prince Andrew with both women began to circulate on the Internet; further emails have been reported to support the authenticity of the image although he has publicly disputed the authenticity prior to receiving that email correspondence.
In February 2026, Prince Andrew answered questions from authorities relating to his role as a trade envoy because of accusations of misconduct. While Prince Andrew has denied any wrongdoing, the Epstein documents have put him under intense public and legal scrutiny.
2. Former U.S. President Donald Trump
Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s name appeared in the Epstein documents as well. The documents detail documents talking about Trump using flight logs to board planes owned by Epstein or connecting to events involving Epstein from the 1990s or early 2000s.
According to historical documentation, Trump and Epstein spent time within the same circles socially throughout NYC and Florida during the 1990’s, and attended numerous events catered toward wealthy individuals. Evidence suggests that during this time, Trump used Epstein’s private jet for travel on multiple occasions; however, Trump has denied all involvement with Epstein’s illegal activity and claims he distanced himself from Epstein years prior to Epstein’s arrest.
In addition, investigators that are currently reviewing these documents have indicated that although Trump’s name appears many times throughout these documents, the DOJ has not found evidence of wrongdoing within their investigation.
Even though the DOJ has exonerated Trump of wrongdoing, the presence of his name in these documents continues to generate considerable debate among political commentators and analysts concerning what political influence Epstein actually had on many powerful politicians.
3. Leslie Wexner
The other wealthy individual whose name appears in the Epstein records is billionaire Leslie Wexner, founder of the Victoria’s Secret chain. Wexner was one of Epstein’s biggest financial backers and has been linked to Epstein for many years.
According to sources Epstein was a business executive to Wexner and received complete control over his money for a number of years prior to their separation. Among those sources, it was said that he had also received a power of attorney from Wexner (in the late 1990’s)- granting Epstein authority to handle many parts of his business and personal finances.
According to the unsealed files/business records Wexner was referenced more than 1,600 times- indicating he had an extensive relationship within the business and financial domains.
While Wexner has denied having any sort of involvement in Epstein’s crimes or that he was ever abused by Epstein or that Epstein used their financial relationship to take advantage of Wexner financially, there is still an ongoing investigation looking at all aspects of their business and personal relationship to determine if Epstein tried to manipulate and utilize Wexner’s wealth to build/expand his network.
