Tripti Dimri has revealed the difficulties she faced when trying to break into Bollywood, feeling that her journey to success has been long and filled with hurdles as well as highs and lows before finally getting noticed. Like many others who were not connected to the industry previously, she had to navigate through numerous auditions, screen testings, and long waits between being cast in roles, knowing she had no solid connections in the industry.
Initially, she believed all the rejections were personal to her but as time progressed, she looked at each and every rejection as part of the process. Ultimately, those early rejections taught her to be more resilient, thus allowing her to focus on developing her craft more efficiently than she would have otherwise.
The Breakthrough Phase
Tripti’s career defining movie was with Bulbbul. This is where she proved to audiences and critics that she is someone with an impressive amount of talent and merit that should be followed closely. Prior to Bulbbul, she had debuted with a small role in the movie Poster Boys and gained national attention once again in the movie Laila Majnu where she starred in the lead female role of Laila. This movie may have grossed a small amount of money, but the contributions that Tripti made were well-received positively by both critics and audiences alike.
Rise to Mainstream Fame
Tripti made a name for herself through the immense success of the movie “Animal,” but it did not happen overnight. Through their unparalleled marketing efforts, film sales exceeded expectations. As such, it brought visibility to Tripti and the possibility of being seen on an even larger scale.
She understands that once you achieve fame, you will gain both fame and opportunity, as well as be under the microscope of the press. Due to the sudden celebrity status she achieved, media attention has become intense, which she views as a responsibility in terms of being choosey with reputable projects and integral in the future.

An Integral Part of Normalcy in an Unusual World
Even with all of the success, Tripti believes it is critical to stay grounded and attributes a lot of what allows her to stay grounded to her family and close friends. She encourages people who want to make it as actors that continuity is extremely important.
Her journey, from being told no many times, to now being one of the most popular actresses in all of Bollywood, is a testament to the fact that with time, effort, and perseverance, you will make it in a business that is known for not having rules or regulations and for changing its mind every five minutes.
