The market for mid-range smartphones today is very competitive, and people want phones that are great at more than one thing. They want phones that look good, last a long time, and work well. The Realme P4x is a phone with amazing technical prowess. It has a huge 7,000mAh battery and the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra 5G chipset, which are both designed to cater to young, power-hungry users who judge performance by screen time and frame rates.

Many people often complain that their device don’t last all day. The P4x is trying to change the meaning of “all-day performance.” Some of you might even want to leave your charger at home when you go out, and I don’t blame you. But the trend now is towards making things more expensive and not just having one trait that makes them stand out.
Since it costs more to make smartphones, the prices of smartphones are also going up. In the heart of all this, does a smartphone that costs less than Rs. 20,000 really have enough functions and value for you to use every day? I’ll tell you the truth.

Design & Display
The P4x makes a statement with its Aerospace Design, which starts with how it looks. The polished metal rough back and right-angle middle frame give it a high-end, tech-inspired look that makes it stand out from other phones in this group that have plastic backs.
Keep in mind that I said “inspired” because the P4x will make you think of a phone that costs 4 times as much as it does. You won’t get any points for picking which one it is. At 208g and 8.39mm thick, it’s not the lightest phone on the market—that big battery is the main reason for that—but it still feels good in your hand, especially the Matte Silver colour, which has a smoothness that looks like glass. In addition to being a nice-looking device, the IP64 grade means that it is somewhat resistant to dust and water, which is always a good thing.
A 6.72-inch FHD LCD screen with a 144Hz frame rate makes the watching experience solid. The frame rate makes reading and moving around smooth, even though it’s not an AMOLED screen. At its brightest, the “Sunlight Display” can handle 1000 nits of light, so it can be used outside and even in full sunlight. The two speakers make the sound more realistic, and the 400% volume setting lets you make calls clearly in noisy places like a mall or train stop. Even though the high volume mode makes the sound very loud, it doesn’t make the sound very clear. It doesn’t mean anything, but it’s something to think about.
Battery
This is, without a doubt, the P4x’s main feature. The 7,000mAh battery is huge, so average users should be able to use it for several days. When you do need to charge it, the 45W charger that comes with it charges it from 1% to 100% in about an hour and a half. It took me testing from 8 a.m. until about 8 a.m. the next day, and it was very hard testing.
Performance
MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra 5G is the chipset that powers the Realme P4x. Its speed is in the upper middle range. This much power, along with up to 8GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, makes it easy to switch between tasks quickly. In my tests, I was able to open 15 or more apps without any stuttering, and I could get 90 FPS in games like BGMI and Call of Duty. A big air chamber with a steel plate keeps the phone from getting too hot when it’s being used a lot. It’s important to note that games like the ones I tried will only be able to run at a stable 90FPS, even though the screen is 144Hz. Still, it’s a good experience overall.
Camera
There is an 8MP camera on the front and a 50MP ultra-clear main camera and a 2MP secondary sensor on the back. The 50MP camera takes sharp photos and can record 4K video without any lag or burning. However, the AI features that make the experience better seem to be getting most of the attention. The “Al Treasure Box” has tools like the Al Eraser, which is very helpful, the Al Motion Deblur, which is somewhat helpful, and the Al Glare Remover, which is rarely helpful.
Software and user interface
There are a lot of AI features built into the Realme UI 6.0 that the phone runs on. I’ve found features like Al Scanner (which turns textbook notes into searchable PDFs) and Al Recording (which turns audio recordings into highlights) to be very helpful many times. There is also a “Circle to Search” button. You can really use this basic set of AI features, and I like that Realme focused on adding mostly features that make you more productive and help you with something useful.
Price and Verdict
There are different versions of the Realme P4x, with 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB storage options. Starting at Rs 15,999, the price is reasonable for the number of features it has. However, you can almost certainly get it for less with coupons and quick bank savings.
Overall, the Realme P4x is a good phone that can do a lot of different things. It doesn’t have any major flaws or problems that stand out. Offering a safe, stable and trustworthy choice for a smartphone under Rs 20,000.
