International hotel chain Hard Rock International has closed ten Hard Rock Cafe locations in India after ending its franchise deals with JSM Corporation Pvt Ltd and groups linked to it. The business stated that the deals that allowed JSM Corporation to operate Hard Rock Cafes and Rock Shops in India have been officially terminated. Because of this, the cafés that were run under this agreement have now closed.
As JSM Corporation had been in charge of running several Hard Rock Cafes in India before this move, it is a big change for the brand there. Since the relationship ended, these stores are no longer operating under the franchise agreement.
Ten cafes in big cities have closed
Ten Hard Rock Cafes in several major Indian cities are closed due to the shutdown. Three of these stores are in Bengaluru, and one is at the Bengaluru International Airport. There are also cafes that have closed in Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi, and Pune.
These restaurants were part of a well-known world company known for its music-themed eating experiences. People had been going to cafes for years because they were in busy cities and had become popular places to meet.

Many employees are likely to be affected
The closing of these stores will likely affect hundreds of people who worked at the shops. Staff at the different sites are now unsure because operations related to the business deal have been shut down.
People are worried about how the quick closing will affect the workers and the hotel industry as a whole, since the cafes were well-known spots in several cities.
Hard Rock Brand Is Still Active Around the World
Hard Rock International remains one of the best-known names in the hotel business, even though its Indian locations have closed. With over 315 sites in more than 75 countries, both owned and leased, the company has a significant presence worldwide.
With the Hard Rock Cafe and Rock Shop concepts, the brand is known around the world for blending dining, rock culture, and themed shops that sell merchandise.
The Hard Rock Hotel in Goa is still open
Many Indian towns have lost cafés due to the shutdown, but the Hard Rock Hotel in Goa will remain open as usual. The hotel is not part of the franchise deal with JSM Corporation because it is run by a different company.
The hotel’s operations will not be affected by the end of the deal with JSM Corporation because they are handled separately. In other words, the Hard Rock name remains in India through the Goa site, even though the café has closed.
