The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) made public a series of dos and don’ts for participants at today’s highly anticipated demonstration. The document, issued just before midnight, is designed to keep the event organized, peaceful, and impactful while communicating the message of the party to both decision makers and the general public.
Party Issues Advisory to Supporters
According to the party leadership, the listed guidelines are intended to assist participants in maintaining discipline and avoiding the creation of a spectacle that could detract from the purpose of the demonstration. The announcement has garnered considerable attention from supporters; many have taken to social media to share and discuss the guidelines.

Primary Objective of the Protest is to Educate about the Issues
According to the party’s press release, the purpose of the protest is to bring attention to important issues that, in the view of the CJP, are deserving of urgent attention. Leaders of the organization stated that the demonstration is intended to be non-violent and democratic.
The dos and don’ts of the protest are numerous; items in the do category include: being calm and respectful; cooperating with all event staff; following the designated march route; and respecting the authority of all law enforcement officers who will be present at the demonstration. The CJP recommends that all participants have proper identification and that they keep current on all official communications from the CJP.
A senior party spokesperson recently communicated to party volunteers their desire for them to exhibit their commitment to the movement in a disciplined and responsible way, in advance of the event.

Participant Recommendations
The advisory identifies a number of recommendations for the appropriate actions supporters are encouraged to carry out during the demonstration:
- Be on time to the event.
- Adhere to instructions provided by organizers and marshals, as provided through directions provided by them.
- Bring water and necessary items with you.
- Leave the area free of litter and mess.
- Display only slogans and banners that fall under the umbrella of the party-approved messaging.
- Immediately report any suspicious activity to the organizers.
- Assist elderly participants or other participants requiring assistance.
The party additionally supports demonstrators effectively communicating to the public and providing an explanation of the intent of the demonstration whenever possible.
Organizers believe disciplined participation will increase the demonstration’s efficacy, and generate increased general public support.
List of Prohibitions Announced
Equally important as the instructions described in the previous section, were prohibitions related to participant actions as denoted in the advisory. Also, party leaders have warned supporters that disciplinary action will result, should they engage in any activity included in the list of prohibitions.
The “Don’ts” include:
- Avoid engaging in violence or aggressive behavior.
- Do not damage public or private property.
- Refrain from using offensive language.
- Do not spread rumors or unverified information.
- Avoid blocking emergency services or essential public facilities.
- Do not carry prohibited items.
- Refrain from provoking opponents or responding to provocations.
The goal of ensuring a peaceful environment to help facilitate the success of the protest and minimize disruption to the public was expressed by Party officials.
Cockroach Party Volunteers and Marshals Deployed
The Cockroach Janta Party will have many volunteers and marshals stationed throughout the main protest locations with the goal of supporting successful participant management in addition to communicating with groups and individuals at the event.
In addition to countless hours of volunteer training for crowd control, emergency response, etc., recent special training sessions were held for untrained volunteers to take them through the different responsibilities of the volunteers. Participants will be able to go to each help desk at the different locations for assistance.
Party officials believe that having trained volunteers in place will reduce the potential for confusion in relation to the organization of the demonstration and will enable the protest’s planned activities to take place without a hitch.
Authorities Monitoring the Protest
Local authorities are aware that a protest is scheduled in their municipalities and have made arrangements for the purpose of traffic control and maintaining public safety. At many of the major assembly areas, law enforcement and other security personnel will be present. For some areas, traffic diversion procedures may be articulated based on the number of participants.
Authorities have asked everyone involved with the demonstrations and their impacts — including protesters and commuters alike —to comply with instructions provided by law enforcement.
According to observers, cooperation between demonstrators and law enforcement will be essential for successfully achieving a peaceful event and minimizing disruption to ordinary life.
Expectations High Ahead of the Event
Since there is substantial support for the demonstration, many people are expected to show up today. Political analysts believe that the number of demonstrators and their behaviour will have an impact on how the community perceives the movement.
The do’s and don’ts that have been released by the Cockroach Janta Party have been interpreted as an attempt to present a responsible party image that promotes to its supporters the desired behaviour during the protest. It remains unclear whether or not the protest will successfully shine a light on their legitimate demands, but it appears the organisers are focused on upholding their message rather than any controversy surrounding them.
As demonstrations begin today, everyone will be watching to see if demonstrators continue to follow the guidelines provided by the organisers, and if the organiser’s vision for an orderly event will be realised through the behaviour of demonstrators.
