For the thousands of people who took the CFA Institute’s CFA Level I and II exams in November 2025, the second week of January is an important time, because that is when the results will be made public. As per the official plan, the results for Level I will be released on January 13, 2026, and Level II will follow on January 15, 2026.

After 9 AM ET on the appropriate dates, candidates will get an email with their individual score reports, and the results will also be posted on the official candidate site at cfainstitute.org. Along with the results, the Institute will publish the Minimum Passing Score (MPS) and a split of scores by area. This will let candidates see how they did compared to the qualifying standard.
How to see the scores of the CFA exam in November 2025
Once the results are posted, candidates will get an email about it. They can also log into their CFA Institute account to see the full score record. This is how you can check your score:
- On the date that the results are supposed to come out, check your email for the official notice from the CFA Institute.
- Go to cfainstitute.org.
- Use your registered email ID and password to log in to your CFA Institute account.
- On your candidate page, go to the part called “Exam Results.”
- Open your score record, which shows the Minimum Passing Score (MPS) for that test period, how well you did on each subject, and whether or not you passed the exam.
- Download the report and save it so you can refer to it later.
- Do not check your results on any websites that haven’t been approved, since the Institute only uses official methods to share results.
- Scoring and the conditions for passing
To be considered qualified, applicants must get a score higher than the minimum set for the November 2025 test period. The MPS changes for every Level and every test time. The CFA Institute sets it after considering how hard the test was, how candidates performed, and how reliable the results were.
The Institute has a set method that is both challenging and fair, and the MPS is not made public before the event. People who score below the standard will be labelled as “not qualified.”

What are the candidates’ next steps?
People who pass Level I can start planning how to register for the Level II test. At the same time, people who pass Level II will be able to move up to Level III. People who aren’t qualified can sign up for the next cycle, which usually takes place in May or August, based on the Level. The Institute’s website has thorough schedules, program changes, and retake rules that help prospects plan what to do next.
