With the goal of “Shri Ram Sharanam, Leaving Everything Behind, Uniting Sanatanis,” the big Shri Ram Golden Bow Yatra began on Friday at Hanuman Vatika in Rourkela, Odisha. As part of the Rourkela Sanatan Jagran Manch, this yatra is being put together.
What is the Golden Bow That was Left For Ayodhya?
- Forty craftsmen from Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, worked hard on this Shri Ram Golden Bow for about eight months. It is made of Panchdhatu, which is gold, silver, zinc, iron, and aluminium.
- The bow is 8 feet long and 3 feet high, and it weighs 286 kilograms altogether. It has 2.5 kilograms of silver and 986 grams of gold in it.
- Costs for building it hit about Rs 1.10 crore.
- Before the bow went to Odisha for its official exit, skilled workers in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, finished the complex work.
- The organisers stressed that the bow is a sign of respect for Lord Ram and commitment to the principles of Sanatan Dharma.
The Golden Bow’s departure to Ayodhya is marked by religious performances
There were thousands of followers at the event, as well as Sambalpuri dance acts and a performance by a child dressed as Lord Rama. With shouts of “Jai Jagannath” and “Jai Shri Ram,” the painted caravan vehicle pulling the golden bow set off.
The yatra will begin in Rourkela and end in Ayodhya on January 22nd. It will have reached Shri Jagannath Dham Puri on January 19th.
The Shri Ram Golden Bow Yatra will go through several cities
The yatra will go through many districts in Odisha on its way. These districts are Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Boudh, Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Rayagada, Parlakhemundi, Brahmapur, Phulbani, Keonjhar, Baripada, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar. It will go through a number of areas.
