This student lived in a very crowded slum with great difficulty and had obstacles that not many students would typically have to overcome as part of their schooling. The lack of basic services such as electricity, lack of a place to study without distractions, and having enough money to buy supplies for school created many barriers to education. Even though her parents did not make enough to provide for the family’s needs, she relied on the steadfast support of her parents to achieve her education.
