The iconic playback singer Asha Bhosle died within the city of Mumbai on April 12, 2026; she was 92 years older when she died and this death marks the end of a very long and successful career as a singer. Asha breathed her last breath due to complications from health issues that came about as a result of a chest infection and multi-organ failure; she was also at the Breach Candy Hospital during this time for her health issue.

The information was provided to Family members about Asha’s status on a daily basis for the past 3 weeks prior to Asha passing from two family members; Asha’s only son Anand Bhosle and Asha’s granddaughter.
Asha’s funeral will take place in Mumbai and a large number of people, including fans and others from the film industry, are expected to attend to pay their respects to a woman who has given so much of herself to people in her 80+ years of her career.
