There’s more to the MJX Hypergo H12Y than meets the eye. This 1:12 scale off-road RC truck costs about Rs 17,000, has a rough look, is made of solid metal, and features a powerful gear that makes it feel like a small SUV built for rough trails. The Hypergo H12Y stands out with its right details and performance-focused setup. It was made for hobbyists, not casual toy buyers.
A bold design that works well off-road
The MJX Hypergo H12Y’s style is one of its best features. The truck has the clear stance of a classic off-roader, with styling cues from big SUVs known for their toughness on the trails. Even though it’s not officially approved, it looks a lot like a modified Thar like vehicle, with its tall shape and tough road appearance.
The body is made of metal, which makes it feel high-end and long lasting right away. The truck is a dark gray color and looks ready for action right out of the box. On the front, there is a large bonnet, LED headlights, and signal lights that can be controlled by a remote. When working at night or in low light, these working lights make it feel more real.
The side mirrors can be folded up and have mirrored parts. For those who like the Jeep or the Thar, the H12Y is a great choice. Given that its body is made of metal, it looks and feels very real. The dark gray paint job is well done and makes it look tougher. The front bumper has what MJX calls a “grey paint job is well done and makes it look tough, Angry Bird style grille, along with LED headlights and indicators that can be controlled by a remote. What really impressed us was how well-thought-out the details were inside the lights.
MJX also has a chunky plastic front bumper that makes it look more powerful. Along the back, there is a plastic roll bar and tail lights that work.
Strong metal frame and long-lasting parts
The Hypergo H12Y has a metal body, but it’s frame is strong and made to handle rough terrain. The back of the body hinges, and strong magnets hold it in place at the front.
The real fun starts, though, when you put the H12Y on dirt and rocks. The level of flexibility is really amazing. The suspension can compress and adjust to different surfaces, and the steering stays precise thanks to the powerful servo. The proportional throttle lets you crawl slowly and carefully, which helps you keep your balance and keep that beautiful body from getting scratched. Still, if you push it, it will fall over!
Because its electronics are waterproof, the H12Y can also handle dirty roads and wet parts. Just remember our top tip: clean the truck well after these kinds of runs to avoid long-term problems like rust or broken parts.

MJX Hypergo H12Y- Chassis, electronics, and batteries
This group of cars, which includes the H12Y and the fully approved Bronco, comes with a smart new body mounting system from MJX. The body opens from the back and is held in place by strong magnets in the front. To get to the inside, all you have to do is lift the body up, like opening a car’s hood.
The MJX Hypergo H12Y is built on a metal frame that is finished in a gold that really stands out. It comes with metal links and oil filled shock absorbers that make it more durable and ready for the trail. It can go off-road even more with the help of metal drive shafts and bearings inside portal hubs. The big all-terrain tires have deep lines that are meant to help them stick on mud, snow and even ice.
When it comes to electronics, the H12Y has an E45M 45An ESC that doesn’t leak and a cooling fan that turns on as soon as the car is turned on. The fan does make some noise, but we didn’t mind because it made the game feel more real. A metal gear with a force of 20 kg is in charge of steering. It feels like it could take a lot of damage. From a 2000mAh 15C Li-ion battery that is placed just below the high receiver unit comes power. The setting is good, but the Velcro strap that holds it in place can be hard to use.
Is the MJX Hypergo H12Y worth the money?
First, let’s get a rough idea of how much it will cost. Our truck came from a website called Cinerigs. It was offered for Rs 17,000 plus shipping, which added up to Rs 17,500. Other buyers, though, have put the price as high as Rs 22,000. There were no problems with Cinerigs; they used a high-end shipping service that got the truck to us in just two days, so we gave them a thumbs up.
As for the truck itself, the H12Y seems like a great deal. It looks very realistic in terms of size, is well-built, and works really well. RC parts and service are easy to find for this model because it’s one of the hottest ones on the market right now. There is also a lot of room for changes.
The MJX Hypergo H12Y, or as we like to call it, our customized Mahindra Thar, is the best choice all around.
