The Triumph Scrambler 350 XC is expected to be one of Triumph’s most significant additions to its India-focused portfolio. Success follows success at Triumph; The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X have proved to be successful for the company in India. Following the success of these two models, Triumph is working with Bajaj to create another motorcycle that will be better suited to India’s tax structure and rider requirements. The result will be a bike that is affordable yet capable of providing all of the comfort of a road bike, combined with mild off-road capabilities.
The Motorcycle Scrambler 350 XC was created to navigate easily on highways, rough roads, and some trails; it was created solely for these purposes, but it is not intended for heavy off-roading or extreme use. Word from the media and sources was that it will be powered by a new 350cc liquid-cooled engine that will utilize most of the components on the existing 400cc engine design. The focus appears to have been on delivering long-term ownership, controlled performance, and usability over sheer specs. Triumph’s goal seems to be to produce a smart scrambler or a bike that gives the rider the quality of feel and performance but at an affordable price point for Indian owners by providing more value.

                            Timeline Leading to Market Release

According to coverage in print and digital media, and according to information from our industry sources, the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC was first anticipated to have a market-disclosure date in late 2023 and has been described to us to be in the developmental stages, continuing through to 2025. The announcement of the Scrambler 350 XC is expected to be made in early April 2026.

As soon as that happens, we anticipate that motorcycles will be in dealerships and retail showrooms (and customers delivered motorcycles) by the middle of April 2026, however, the actual date for availability will remain contingent on the final approval of the motorcycle and on the readiness for large-scale manufacturing.

                            Expected Ex-Showroom Pricing

According to media estimates and statements from experts, the likely pricing for the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC will be between ₹2.60 lakh and ₹2.80 lakh (ex-showroom) when it is eventually made available in India. The bike has not officially launched in India yet, so the actual retail price of the motorcycle has not been published by the companies involved. Additionally, this pricing reflects Triumph’s intention to deliver a luxury scrambler experience while also staying within the more heavily taxed 350cc motorcycle segment in India.

In order to achieve this, Triumph has partnered with Bajaj to create a unique platform for their motorcycles which combines Triumph’s superior engineering and design with Bajaj’s expertise in manufacturing affordable motorcycles for the Indian market.

                            Pre-Launch Riding Insights from Sources

As of the time of writing, there is no available information on test rides or reviews of the Scrambler 350XC as it has not been publicly launched yet. There is only information available through news reports and leaked sources about the development of the bike. However, from what we’ve seen from these reports, Triumph appears to be concerned with providing users with a ride that is enjoyable and comfortable rather than focused solely on delivering high-performance and aggressive riding experiences through very ‘hard’ tuning of their engines.

                            Early expectations

                            • Throttle response that is smooth and manageable
                            • Ability to remain comfortable in the riding position for extended hours of travel
                            • Driving stability is maintained on rough pathways
                            • Plenty of low-end torque for use on city streets and winding trails
                            • Brake predictability

                            Expected Specifications Overview

Bajaj and Triumph will probably collaborate together to develop the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC, which is likely to come with a newly developed 350cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine designed to provide strong low-to-mid RPM torque, making this motorcycle well suited for city use and light off-road use. It is probable that the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC will also be equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch, both of which will allow riders to maintain greater control when riding through stop and go traffic, as well as during long-distance trips, ultimately reducing the fatigue associated with navigating city streets and open highways.

Regarding the suspension, the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC is likely to feature an upside-down (USD) front fork system and rear monoshock, along with a 19-inch front wheel equipped with spoked wheels in order to improve stability on bumpy terrain. It is also expected that both ABS (anti-lock braking system) and dual-channel ABS will be offered as standard equipment with an off-road mode option. In addition, it is expected that the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC will come with full LED lighting, a digital instrument panel, and ergonomics designed for optimum comfort, ensuring that this motorcycle remains relevant, practical, and easy to maintain over time.

                            Engine & Technical Explanation

The Triumph Scrambler 350 XC will most likely have a smaller capacity version of the 400cc engine used in the Scrambler 400 X model. The reasoning for this reduction in engine size is primarily a tax strategy that will allow Triumph to reduce taxation based on their engine size therefore allowing them to sell the motorcycles at a much lower price point and still retain the manufacturing quality and durability that customers expect to find in a Triumph course. Triumph plans to keep the engine size below 350cc, so it falls within the lower tax bracket provided by the GST in India.

                            Liquid Cooling Advantage

Liquid cooling systems offer a great advantage for motorcycle engines in India because of the amounts of heat generated due to traffic jams, hot days, and frequent stop-and-go traffic conditions. An engine that relies only on air for cooling may experience overheating under these conditions, therefore decreasing its performance. However, a liquid coolant system is able to maintain a steady operating temperature of the engine, which increases its reliability over time, and maintains peak performance levels on long-distance rides and each day’s commute.

                            Power and Torque

While some off-road motorcycles focus on producing large amounts of horsepower at extremely high RPMs (revolutions per minute), Triumph have designed the Scrambler 350 XC to produce a lot of usable power low through to medium RPMs. This makes riding the bike much easier while navigating around cities and to avoid having to constantly accelerate or decelerate quickly, which will be an advantage during rush hour and/or stop-n-go situations. With this setup, riders should be able to continue cruising along the interstate without having to downshift regularly. This also allows for improved handling on rough terrain. The end result will be that the rider can accelerate smoothly, with less effort, and have a more enjoyable ride, on average, due to the reduced number of gear changes needed while riding.

                            Gearbox and Clutch Setup

A six-speed gearbox featuring a slipper clutch will be incorporated into the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC to make it easier for riders to manage their bikes. The addition of a slipper clutch on the bike will allow riders to have better control over their bike. The slipper clutch will help riders maintain control of their motorcycles by preventing rear wheel hops when riders shift down. Riders will notice that the slipper clutch will provide them with more stability when riding on loose or uneven ground.

                            Chassis and Frame

The Triumph Scrambler 350 XC is considered to use the same basic frame as the Scrambler 400X. The Scrambler 400X has been tested extensively in real-world riding and has provided good stability and balance for riders. Using this known and established chassis guarantees comparable and repeatable handling characteristics as well as structural integrity. With that in mind, the suspension will be tuned differently on the 350 XC in order to meet the requirements for more of a comfortable ride and an easier to ride motorcycle for daily use and light off-roading versus high-speed applications.

                            Suspension System Explained

The Triumph Scrambler 350 XC is expected to have USD front forks that have been used in the 350cc segment of motorcycles only in limited quantities, but this demonstrates the commitment Triumph has made to providing the best riding experience possible. The purpose of the USD front forks is to improve stability at the front of the motorcycle and provide enhanced feedback from the front tire when riding over rougher terrain. The rear mono-shock will likely be tuned softer to accommodate the absorption of and reaction to rough road surfaces. Overall, the design of the suspension system will place more emphasis on providing comfort and control while riding over uneven surfaces than it does on providing the ability to ride aggressively or at high cornering speeds.

                            Wheel and Tyre Setup

According to speculation, the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC will come equipped with a 19-inch front wheel, fitted with Tubeless Spoked Rims – a configuration typical of adventure motorcycles. This wheel size will allow the rider to traverse over rough terrain more easily and smoothly, providing a greater level of stability and confidence in riding. The advantages of Tubeless Spoked Rims also include improved ease of repair from Flat-Tire incidents, and increased strength compared to Regular Wire-Spoke Rims. Dual-Purpose Tyres will create a balanced amount of traction on both paved and unpaved surfaces (light off road use), which will allow this motorcycle model to accommodate a wider range of riding conditions.

                            Braking and Safety

According to reports, the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC will have Dual-Channel ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) with the possibility of an Off-Road Mode which enables the rider to turn OFF Rear ABS for riding over Loose or Uneven Terrain, enabling greater control when riding off road. There are plans to develop the braking system to be more progressive and predictable, optimising the ability for the rider to have more consistent braking behaviours compared to the conventional way that motorcycle brakes operate with a fast or aggressive bite.

                            Electronics and Simplicity

Though the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC is equipped with many modern technological features, it does not appear that Triumph is planning on burdening their motorcycles with an overload of complex or unnecessary equipment. According to the media, the company will primarily focus on durable, well-designed mechanical engineering, tried and true components, and extremely limited use of electronic devices. All of these factors create a better overall riding experience and allow for greater confidence when riding; additionally, the elimination of many high-tech devices decreases the chances that long-term technical difficulties will occur, and makes maintenance significantly less costly than if the bike had numerous complicated electronic devices. Therefore, it is expected that the total cost of ownership for the Scrambler 350 XC will remain relatively low, which will be important to riders who plan to use their motorcycles in multiple riding environments for a prolonged period of time.

                            Fuel Efficiency and Range

The Triumph Scrambler 350 XC will likely be more fuel-efficient than other 400cc motorcycles because it has a smaller displacement engine and has been tuned to be extremely efficient. Riders will benefit from lower operating costs with the engine’s efficiency, which makes it a good option for anybody that rides their bike on a daily basis. The increased fuel economy also allows for the motorcycle to be a viable option for long-distance touring, where fuel availability and total range are major concerns for travelers. In addition, reports indicate that the engine is being set up to provide consistent performance instead of maximum outputs, which will create a more comfortable riding experience at speed and be able to maintain its efficiency over longer distances. This creates a bike that is well suited for riding in both short commutes and long-distance outings.

                            Engineering Intent

All in all, the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC’s design emphasises conservative and practical engineering rather than a specification-driven one like most other motorcycle brands. Each important part of the Scrambler 350 XC was probably selected based on its durability, reliability, and usability as a motorcycle for everyday riders. Triumph has obviously designed the Scrambler 350 XC to provide riders with realistic, everyday experiences while riding their motorcycles instead of focusing on creating spectacular newspaper headlines or advertisements for their motorcycles based off of technologically advanced motorcycle features. Triumph’s development of motorcycles that are capable of handling difficult conditions over extended periods of time while also performing well under varied riding types, provides riders with confidence in the performance of their motorcycle, ease of maintaining their motorcycle, and long-term reliability. Therefore, it makes the Scrambler 350 XC a great option for riders who appreciate function and practicality rather than flashy technical aspects of a motorcycle.

                            Colour Options (Expected)

The Scrambler 350 XC will be officially released by Triumph. Currently, there is no confirmed information on the colour options available. The information that has been provided so far comes from leaks and from what little is known about Triumph’s current design trends. It seems that the media has reported that this bike will likely feature the same style of design as previous models in the Triumph Scrambler family.

                            Colour Option (Speculated)VariantExpected Price
                            Matte Khaki GreenXC₹2.60–2.80 lakh
                            Graphite GreyXC₹2.60–2.80 lakh
                            Lava RedXC₹2.60–2.80 lakh
                            Performance YellowXC₹2.60–2.80 lakh

Note: Colours are based on sources and may change at launch.

The use of bold, basic colors and subtle graphics will be typical of Triumph. The company may also utilize a dual-tone palette method to visually identify different models. These color palettes will be more likely to focus on raw appeal than on the dazzling effects of some styles.

Based on current releases from Triumph, matte green, grey, yellow, and red could potentially be used for the scrambler. Expect components that have been blacked out and a limited amount of chrome to retain the scrambler’s current look, in line with the company’s design philosophy.

For Whom Is This Bike Designed?

Riders looking for versatility without having to spend lots of money on larger-capacity motorcycles will find that the Triumph Scrambler 350 XC is built for them to use in order to have a bike to get around town and on the highways, but it also gives them the option to possibly take it off-road over gravel or dirt, or onto some smooth dirt trails. This motorcycle offers a comfortable and more controlled ride compared to most large-capacity and aggressive racing-style motorcycles.

It would be great for commuting to work during the week, going out to the bars with friends on the weekends, and riding cross-country. For new riders that come from a smaller bike, the power is manageable; for more experienced riders, the ride is smooth and steady. Also, if you want to ride a brand-name motorcycle but don’t want to spend a lot of money on a large, complex bike, this bike is perfect for you. The Scrambler 350 XC offers a combination of style, function, and ease of maintenance, making it an excellent all-around bike.
