Ayodhya witnessed a deeply symbolic and emotional gathering on Tuesday, as it was none other than representatives from tribal and forest-dwelling communities of Sonbhadra who arrived here to be a part of this historic event in the holy city which is very rightly said to be the birthplace of Lord Ram, i.e., the grand flag-hoisting ceremony at the Babri Ram birthplace, Ram temple. The Shri Ram Mandir Trust invited these special guests, a move that made the occasion even more inclusive and meaningful.
Warm Welcome for Special Guests
The guests were warmly welcomed and respected by the officials present of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). On the other hand, from the mandir side, the trust arranged for tiring and travelling accommodation of all invitees across Ayodhya so that none of the invitees feels left out on this joy studded day where they could have missed important facilities like bed bath, tea etc.
Ayodhya Mayor, Dr Girish Pati Tripathi, also shared that the kindness provided to the visitors even moved them to tears as they told him that Sri Ram also lived among forest-dwellers for 14 years. Many further said that the decision to invite them to such a significant event which has a place in every Hindu heart was like being honoured in our tradition. And in the same vein many of the donors dear recy, the birth place of Lord Ram has alike been our tribute.
Special Arrangements & Inclusive Invitations
Refreshments were arranged for the guests and they ended up reaching the temple complex by carbon-free electric vehicles, the trust says. ‘This is the trust that has invited all kinds of people which ensures there is a representative from every section of the society around,’ explained Raju Das, a priest from Hanuman Garhi temple.
Now Iqbal Ansari who is the son of one of the earliest litigants in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmbhoomi case—Hashim Ansari was also a part of this historic ceremony. His presence there for the event underscored the inclusivity that the Trust was aiming at across. While talking to local reporters, Ansari said that he was honoured to be at such a historic event.
A Majestic Flag to Be Hoisted by PM Modi
Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi will grace the ceremony and hoist the grand saffron flag on one of the temples‘s ‘shikhars’.
