In the last two months reports published by both the U.S. and Iranian regime continue to show significant increase in hostilities between the United States and Iran, as well as between the U.S. and its allies in the region. Iran has engaged in acts of war against U.S. “bases” located in Dubai; has engaged in acts of war against U.S. military installations in Dubai; and there is clear evidence supporting a direct confrontation between Iran and the U.S. as a result of the growing tensions between both nations, and the evidence of the attacks on these “U.S.”-associated bases.
Iran Has Accused The United States of Targeting U.S. “Hideaways” — The Escalation of the Ongoing Controversy in the Middle East
In the last month there has been a quickly expanding conflict occurring throughout the Middle East due to the addition of more countries participating on both sides to the ongoing conflict; as well as an increase of hundreds of U.S. troops being sent to the Gulf Cooperation Council nations throughout the six Middle-Eastern nations in preparation for an air offensive against Iran which is expected to evolve by the end of the year.
Iran has publicly stated that they targeted U.S. military “hideaways” in Dubai as part of their justification for carrying out an attack against U.S. bases located in Dubai; While at the same time, publicly announcing that they successfully located two U.S. Military “Hideways”.
Nature of the Strikes in Dubai
Prior to the Iranian strikes on the two sites suspected of housing Iranian military operations, it has been publicly released that Iran conducted missile and explosive attacks against other cities (and bases) in Iraq, including Baghdad and others, in retaliation for the deaths of their QUD forces in those cities. All of these missile attacks were reported as directed against U.S. forces located in those Iraqi cities, and at the same time, they were conducted in conformity with international law based on the applicable laws of armed conflict.
Allegations have been made concerning an attack on an Al Minhad Airbase, which is a joint air force base used by the United States, U.K., Australia, Canada, New Zealand and other Coalition forces.
There were also several explosions, drone flights and air defense activations taking place over many areas of Dubai, to the point where there were fires and other forms of damage caused to property.
Iran has stated that its strikes have all been precision strikes against military targets; however, the prevailing view is that its strikes have made civilian safety an issue in a highly populated global city.

No Independent Confirmation
will be used as a benchmark for measuring the long-term impact of retaliation against US interests.
Iran’s missile and drone attacks on these sites are illustrative of a larger Iranian effort to target US interests throughout the Gulf region. Similar missile and drone attacks have now occurred in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and several other locations in the region.
This escalating conflict has resulted in:
- Exposure of key global trade routes such as the Strait of Hormuz.
- Severe impacts on aviation and commercial shipping operations.
- An increase in the probability of a large-scale regional conflict.
Once viewed as a stable region of the Middle East and an important financial centre in the Middle East, Dubai has been identified as a symbolic target and has strategic value as a result of its economic significance and influence.
Location and Infrastructure Make Dubai a Key Global Infrastructure and Military Coordination Node
Because of its location on major sea routes, Dubai’s port facilities such as Jebel Ali and other military logistics support points are important points of national and international commerce, as well as military operations. The fact that Iran alleges the US used facilities such as Jebel Ali to conduct attacks has turned Dubai into a battleground destination.
If there were to be continual attacks on Dubai, the ramifications would reach far beyond just the city, affecting global oil prices, tourism and the ability of companies worldwide to conduct business.
Final Thoughts
While Iran has stated that it has been able to strike two US “hideouts” in Dubai, independent confirmation of these claims is minimal; however, it is evident that both the Gulf Region and the numerous civilian and commercial areas of the region are becoming involved in a much larger military conflict.
The situation is still changing, and there is a high risk of further escalation as military and media battles continue to take place, and it continues to become more difficult to establish verifiable facts and false claims regarding events occurring in this part of the world.
