Tata Motors has introduced the Sierra EV in India with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 18.79 lakh, while the top-end variant is priced at Rs 24.79 lakh. The electric SUV joins the company’s growing EV portfolio as its seventh electric vehicle and is positioned below the Harrier EV in the lineup.
Bookings for the Tata Sierra EV have opened from today, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence on 15 July. The model arrives with EV-specific styling updates, advanced technology features, and multiple battery pack options.
Tata Sierra EV Enters Market With Updated Electric Design
The Tata Sierra EV features several visual changes that distinguish it from its ICE counterpart. Among the key differences are a closed-off body-coloured front grille, a redesigned bumper, and styling elements developed specifically for the electric version.
The SUV also receives newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels aimed at improving aerodynamic efficiency. While retaining the familiar Sierra silhouette and upright stance, the vehicle carries a QWD badge that highlights its drivetrain configuration.
Triple-Screen Cabin and Premium Features
Inside, the Sierra EV largely follows the layout of the ICE version but introduces a technology-focused cabin setup.
The SUV comes equipped with a triple-screen arrangement that includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch passenger display. Tata Motors says the cabin incorporates sustainable materials, including recycled plastic and other environmentally conscious elements.

Dual-Motor Setup Delivers 504 Nm Torque
The Tata Sierra EV is powered by two electric motors. A 175 kW motor is positioned at the rear, while a 103 kW motor is mounted at the front.
The rear motor produces 240 Nm of torque, while the front motor generates 164 Nm. Together, the setup delivers a combined peak torque output of 504 Nm.
To enhance efficiency and performance, the electric SUV offers multiple drive modes that help optimise power usage under different driving conditions.

Customers can choose between two battery pack options: 75 kWh and 63 kWh.

Tata Motors notes that both battery options use LFP HV battery technology.
Fast Charging and V2V/V2L Capabilities
The Sierra EV supports charging through 120 kW, 7.2 kW, and 3.3 kW charging systems.
Using the fastest 120 kW charger, the SUV can gain more than 250 km of range in just 15 minutes.
The electric SUV also supports Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging functions, adding further versatility for users.
