BANGALURU: Software services firm Wipro has launched a programme to train around 10,000 employees in digital technologies during the year.
“We have launched a programme to train around 10,000 employees in digital technologies during the year. As Wipro Digital gains traction, it will drive greater impact through re-shaping the form and scale of our customer engagement,” Wipro CEO TK Kurien told reporters here.
He added that the company’s digital business has shown strong traction with seven deal wins in the July-September 2015 quarter.
“While our digital business offers clients a differentiated service, we expect the downstream business multiplier to be in the range of 5-10X, leveraging the traditional technologies as well as SMAC, based on the stage at which we get engaged,” he said.
Kurien added that across the organization, the company is investing in building “workplace of the future.”
“We are building in digital where we see a huge demand and growth coming very clearly investing in that. Overseas, we continue to hire… we have already been on campuses so that process is going on. So its business as usual, nothing different what has been in the past…You will see the same, similar rate of hiring,” he said.
