Times Group launches India’s first realty channel Magicbricks NOW

NEW DELHI: Urban development and housing minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday launched the country’s first real estate channel – Magicbricks NOW – and congratulated theTimes Group for this initiative. The channel, targeted at NCCS A and B viewers, will help guide viewers in taking informed investment decisions.

“Times NOW from the Times Network is the most credible, premium news channel in the country, and when I came to know that this network is launching a news channel to create a platform for the real estate and housing sector, I felt really happy , because it is going to partner with me in our plans to provide housing for everyone by 2022,” Naidu said while launching the channel.

He told TOI that he is hopeful the channel would serve as a platform for all stakeholders in the real estate sector, such as consumers, developers, government and financial institutions. “Without bricks, houses cannot be made. I am hopeful of the channel meeting people’s expectations.”

The minister said the focus now has to be more on urban areas for their proper development and to ensure that everyone has a roof over his her head. Naidu said while new initiatives such as Smart City, AMRUT, Housing-forAll and Swachh Bharat will prove to be a game changer, the proposed real estate regulation bill will protect consumers’ interest.

The channel will be distributed across DTH and cable TV networks and is already available on all platforms that carry the channels of Times Network. Marquee channel programmes include The Property Guide, The Home Buyer’s Guide, Property Hotline, The Interiors Show, The Vastu Show, Real Estate Tycoons, and The News every hour.
