Things you should know before buying Tata Zica

NEW DELHI: Tata Motors’ upcoming small hatchback Zica’s complete look has finally been revealed. The company at first teased Kite in a TVC featuring Football player Lionel Messi, the company’s global brand ambassador.

In the teaser video, certain parts of Kite were visible – tail-lamps, door handles, and the front of the car. The front features a grille with chrome lining.

Tata Zica will come in both diesel and petrol engine options. The 1.05 litre three-cylinder diesel motor will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional AMT as well. While the petrol engine is expected to a 1.2 litre Revotron motor.

It is 3,746mm long, 1,647mm wide with a height at 1,535mm. The dashboard of Zica is in dual tone theme. The car will have Eco and City modes. For safety it will feature dual airbags, and anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution.

Zica, which started being known as Kite, will come equipped with around 22 storage spaces and 242 litres of boot space. Some of them will be 12V power outlet, storage space console, cup-holder on front console, smart driver side pocket, and doors with bottle holders.

Tata Zica, is expected to be launched somewhere in January 2016 with a price tag of Rs 3.5 – 5 lakh. It will take on the likes of Maruti Celerio, Hyundai Grand i10 and Ford Figo.
