NEW DELHI: A day ahead of Google’s special event where it’s expected to unveil new Nexus phones, the specifications of the Huawei-made larger version — Nexus 6P have leaked online via some official slides.
As per official slides, the Nexus 6P will sport a 5.7-inch WQHD or quad-HD (2560x1440p) AMOLED display. The screen has Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It will feature a metal unibody design and will come in aluminium, graphite, frost and gold colours with gold version only limited to the Japanese market.
The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 version 2.1 processor and 3GB of RAM. It has a 12.3MP rear camera with an F-stop rating of 2.0 and the sensor uses bigger pixels like the HTC UltraPixel solution. The front camera has an 8MP sensor.
It will come in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants and will run Android Marshmallow, the upcoming version of Android.
The phone will have dual front-facing speakers, a 3,450mAh battery and USB Type-C connector with quick charging. It will weigh 178g and measure 159.4×77.8×7.3mm. The slides were spotted by Android Police.
Earlier, the Nexus 5X, made by LG was leaked via an erroneous listing by Amazon India. It has a 5.2-inch full-HD display (1920x1080p). Powered by a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 808 processor and 2GB RAM, the phone is said to have 16GB storage and run Android Marshmallow. It sports a 12.3MP rear camera and a 5MP rear camera and packs in a 2,700mAh battery.
